Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I take part in the ALL WILL DRIVE effort?
It is a leadership initiative in which youth leaders set the pace.  Speed the Light giving has experienced a steady decline over the past few years that is critically impacting the essential transportation needs of our missionaries, some of which have no wheels to meet their transportation needs. We aim to reverse this trend and are calling for youth leaders of America to lead the way of change!

For what purpose will the monies collected be used?
Monies collected will be used to immediately respond to and alleviate the shortage of essential transportation on the mission field, speeding the supply of STL vehicles to missionaries in waiting.

How much should I commit to raise?
We are asking that youth leaders commit to personally raise a minimum of $1,000 or more in sponsorships.

How do I raise the money?
Seek out potential donors and sponsors to financially support your ALL WILL DRIVE effort and use the pledge form to keep track of who has donated monies.

What is my personal physical goal for the ALL WILL DRIVE effort?
Youth leaders from across the nation should commit to run or walk 26 miles in one day or weekend.  However, you may want to divide the 26 miles with a group of others.

I don’t think I can run a marathon. Can I have help?
You can choose to run a marathon relay. Get your friends to help you split up the 26.2 miles.  In such case you would submit your commitment as a “relay.”  Relays can greatly increase the value of funding for STL.  In this case, each relay participant is asked to make the same $1,000 minimum financial goal.

How do I find a marathon and how do I know if it is right for me?
There are many marathon options available. Check out the Resources section on the ALL WILL DRIVE website for a listing of recommended marathons.

How do I train for a marathon?
While the thought of running a marathon may be a daunting task for most, it is possible. Visit the Resources section on the ALL WILL DRIVE website for a training guide and tips.

Can my students participate in ALL WILL DRIVE?
Yes & No.  If students want to follow your lead locally, that is wonderful!  We celebrate that!  However, the registration commitments for the ALL WILL DRIVE is reserved as a leadership initiative.  It is a challenge to youth leaders across the nation.  We must lead this initiative.

When do I have to complete this challenge?
All marathons should be completed in 2008.  If possible, completion by October 19, 2008 (National Speed The Light Sunday) would provide a great opportunity of testimony and challenge in the local church for more STL support.
